Hanging bodies of mother, daughter recovered

MANIKGANJ, Jun 8 (UNB): Police recovered hanging bodies of a woman and her daughter at Bojoynagar village in Harirampur upazila Sunday.

The deceased are: Josna Begam, 28, wife of Tara Miah of the same village, and their daughter Sadia Akter, 6.

Locals said Tara Miah used to demand money from Josna and torture her.

On Saturday night, Tara picked up a quarrel with Josna when she refused to give him money.

The village people spotted the body of Josna and her daughter Sadia hanging from a fig tree near their house and informed police.

Tara Miah went into hiding after the incident.
