Hanging body of housewife found in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Nov 29 (UNB): Police recovered hanging body of a housewife from her residence at Uttar Kharia village in Sribordi upazila on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Jesmin Begum,20, wife of Sujan Miah, a resident of the same village.

Police and locals said Sujan had been married with Jesmin, daughter of Abdul Jalil, a resident of Pashchim Jhinia village of the upazila, eight months ago.

Sujan often used to lock in quarrel with his wife over trifling matters and torture her since after their marriage.

On Friday morning, local people spotted Jesmin's body from the ceiling of her bedroom and informed police.

Later police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
