Heavy rains flood wide areas in Pabna town

PABNA, July 20: Massive water logging caused immense suffering to the people of Pabna due to the incessant rains persisting over last three days. Most of the roads and inside of  same residences and low-laying areas of the district headquarter were flooded by rain water.

Visiting different areas it is found that the Salgaria, Raghobpur, Talbagan area, Dilalpur  Pabna Boro Bazar area, Beltola, Noorpur, Dakbanga residences and roads went underwater due to continuous raining.  

Rainwater brought massive waterlogging in the narrow roads of the Salgaria area causing immense sufferings for about 20 thousand residences. Drainage system could not develop over last few years so the waterlogging problem has widened this year, said a resident.
