Housewife beaten to death in Shibganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 12: A housewife was beaten to death allegedly by her husband and the members of her husband's family at Pukuria Sanbandha village under Kansat union of Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj district Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Golapi, 35, wife of Ekramul Hoque.

Sub-Inspector Rajab Ali of Shibganj thana said, there was quarrel between Golapi and her husband and other members of the family on Monday night. At one stage, they beat her up severely to death.

On information police from Shibganj thana rushed to the spot and recovered the deadbody at around 2 am.
