Housewife commits suicide in Magura

MAGURA, Aug 23 (UNB): Marital discord due to abject poverty allegedly led a young housewife to commit suicide at Bijoynagar Gangnalia village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Champa Khatun, 20, wife of Imrul Hossain of the village. Police, hospital and family sources said poverty-stricken Imrul had not been able to meet the family demands since his marriage with Champa which led to frequent strife between the couple.
