Housewife killed in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ, May 13 (BSS): A housewife was killed by her neighbour at Dauvog-Dakhinpara village under Salonga Upazila of the district this morning.

The victim was Anwara Khatun, 52, wife of Abu Taher of the same village.

Police said Anwara locked into an altercation with his neighbor Abul Fayez over a disputed land near their house.

At one stage Fayez beat her indiscriminately with a bamboo stick.

Critically injured Anwara was sent to a local hospital where duty doctor declared her dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Salonga thana Rejaul Karim confirmed the incident.
