Housewife killed over dowry

BENAPOLE, Mar 22 (UNB): A housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband over dowry-related feud at Rajghat Moalemtala village in Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore district on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Manjila Mallik (25), wife of Humayun Mallik of the same village.

Quoting locals, police said Humayun used to torture Manjila for dowry since after their marriage.

Humayun strangled Manjila following an altercation over dowry-related issue sometime on Saturday night.
