Housewife strangled to death, husband held in Pabna

PABNA, Apr 26: The body of a housewife was found dead at village Choubaria village of Bhangura upazila of the district today (Sunday morning)

The deceased was identified as Hasina Khatun, 30, wife of Farid Hossain of the village Choubaria.

Bhangura police officer-in-charge Abu Zafar said they recovered the body of Hasina from her husband's residence of the village Choubaria at about 10.00am, being informed by local people.

The body was sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations, he said, adding that the police suspected that she was strangled to death by her husband.

The victim's father Hazrat Ali filed a case with Bera police about the incident and arrested the victim's husband Farid Hossain, OC added.
