Housewife\\\'s body found floating in river

GOPALGANJ, Oct 14: Gopalganj Thana Police recovered the body of a housewife floating in Madhumati river Monday.

The deceased was identified as Lipika Mridha (22), wife of Nitish Mridha of village Rananagar under Gopalganj Sadar Upazila of the district.

Thana police said, earlier on the day of occurrence Lipika and Nitish quarrelled over a family affair. On information from local people police reached the spot and recovered the deadbody from Madhumati river. A case was filed. Police arrested Nitish Mridha, husband of Lipika, in this connection.
