Human chain demands exemplary punishment to Nur\\\'s killers

PABNA, July 5: People from all walks of lives including human rights activists staged a demonstration protesting the macabre killing of 4-year old boy Abdullah Al Nur. They demanded exemplary punishment of the killers from a human chain and protest meeting held at Chatmohar Puratan Bazar on Friday.
Md Abdullah Al Nur, 4, son of Abul Hosain of village Chhoto Shalikha in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna was brutally killed into several pieces on the night of June, 26. Police recovered the beheaded body of Nur, whose hands were also amputated.
Earlier the victim was picked up in front of his residence at Chhoto Shalikha village in the upazila on June, 25 morning. Following a case filed by the victim's father, police arrested seven persons including joint convener of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Chatmohar upazila unit. The arrestees are Md. Shohel Bishwas, 40, joint convener of Jubodal, Md Abdus Samad, 40, Kabir Hossain, 21, Hazi Alep Ali Molla, 70, Aeyasha Bewa, 55, Jakirul Islam, 25, and Yeasin Ali, 32. Of them, Aeyasha is Nur's step grandmother while Kabir and Samad are uncles, police said.
