Human chain held to protect Bidi industry in Lalmonirhat

Tobacco farmers, traders, and Bidi workers have jointly formed a human chain in Lalmonirhat to realise their four-point demand, including protection of Bidi industry, says a press release.

The human chain was held in front of the Lalmonirhat District Commissioner's office at 11:00 am on Sunday.

Bangladesh Bidi Workers Federation Acting President Amin Uddin, Vice President Nazim Uddin and Bidi workers' leaders Abul Hasnat Lavlu and Lutfor Rahman, among others, were present at the programme.
