Husband kills wife in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, Jun 22 (BSS):A housewife identified as Moriom Begum, 26, was killed by her husband  Saturday at village Paikpara under Bagat of Madhukhali upazilla in the district.

Police said Robiul now absconding killed his wife, mother of two minor children, by strangulation and threw the body into a nearby pond in broad day light.

Local sources said Robiul got married Moriom, daughter of late Monowar Hossain of village Barail under Nakole upazilla in Magura district about nine years back.

Robiul used to beat up his wife demanding dowry. On the day, Rabiul tortured his wife physically and at one stage he strangulated her. After killing he threw the body into the pond.
