Husband stabbed to death by wife

RAJSHAHI, Feb 8 (BSS): A housewife has reportedly stabbed her husband to death at Mohipara village under Durgapur Upazila of the district last night.

Quoting locals police said seriously injured Tapash Panna, 35, was immediately rushed to the nearby upazila health complex where the attending doctors declared him dead.

Police rounded up the wife, Trina Lakra, 25, in connection with the killing.

Parimal Qumar Chakravarty, Officer-in-Charge of Durgapur Police Station, told journalists the couple got locked in an altercation over family matter.  At one stage, Trina Lakra struck her husband with a sharp weapon repeatedly.

A case was recorded with the police station in this connection.
