Illegal Indian clothes seized in Khulna

KHULNA, Mar 22 (BSS): Bangladesh Coast Guard, Mongla West Zone here today seized at least 240 illegal Indian saris worth about Tk 0.48 million (4.80 lakh) from Rupsha bridge area under Rupsha Police Station.

On secret information, a special team of Coast Guard Rupsha Station under Mongla West Zone led by operation officer Lt. Col Alauddin Nayan took position at Rupsha toll Plaza area early today.

Lt. Col. Alauddin told BSS that they seized the illegal Indian saris from a pick up van around noon today. Sensing the presence of law enforcement agencies, the driver fled the spot leaving the pick up van.
