Integrated efforts to prevent violence, sabotage stressed

GAIBANDHA, July 2 (BSS): Speakers at a function said the joint and integrated efforts of all are urgent need to prevent and root out violence, sabotage and drug trading from the society.

"All sorts of development of the government will go in vain, if the law and order situation in the society is not maintained properly as sustainable and peaceful law and order situation is precondition of development in any sector", they said.

They made the remarks while addressing a view exchange meeting on anti violence and sabotage organised by Sadar upazila administration at the conference room of upazila parisahd on Wednesday afternoon.

Newly joined Deputy Commissioner (DC) M. Abdus Samad addressed the meeting as the chief guest and acting upazila parishad chairman Rashida Begum was present as the special guest while UNO Ashraful Momin Khan presided over the function.

The meeting was also addressed, among others by upazila engineer of LGED Masudur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar thana Ahmed Raziur Rahman, and Gidari union parishad (UP) chairman Golam Sadek Lebu.
