Joypurhat farmers get expected yield of gourd

JOYPURHAT, Sept 24 (BSS): Farmers achieved expected yield of gourd this year in the district that prompted them to grow more gourd in future.

The farmers look very happy with smiles on their faces having expected yield. Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) sources said farmers are expecting to get desired production this year.

DAE sources said a total of 115 hectares of land were brought under the cultivation this year in the district against the production target of 2,415 tonnes of gourd.

Deputy Director of DAE AZM Sabbir Hossain said yield of the vegetable is satisfactory in the district.
