Jubo Dal activist killed in Rangpur

RANGPUR, July 8 (UNB): A local Jubo Dal activist was chopped to death by miscreants in Satghara Mistripara of the city Monday.

The deceased was identified as Farhad,28, son of Kutu, a resident of Munsipara of the city..

Police and locals said a group of miscreants attacked Farhad in the area at about 7:30pm and chopped him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him injured.

Farhad was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital from where he was later referred to Dhaka.

Later, he died while being taken to Dhaka. Police suspected that Faruk might have been killed as a sequel to previous enmity over establishing supremacy in the area.
