RANGAMATI, Sept 08 (BSS): The Karnaphuli Hydropower Plant authorities have started releasing water into the Karnaphuli River for the third time as the water level in Kaptai Lake has again approached the danger level.
As the water level of Kaptai Lake has crossed the danger level, water has started being released six inches at a time through 16 sluice gates of Kaptai Hydropower Plant for the third time, Manager of Kaptai Karnaphuli Hydropower Plant Mahmud Hasan confirmed the matter to the news agency.
He said that as the water level of the lake has crossed the danger level, 16 sluice gates of the power plant started releasing water six inches at a time at 2.45 pm on Monday.
