KHULNA, Sept 1: Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) observed its 11th founding anniversary Saturday. KUET authorities drew up an elaborate programme which included a get-together, colourful procession, blood donation, tree plantation, discussion, horse race, a cricket match between teachers and students, doa mahfil, film exhibition etc.
The University authority has also organised a discussion meeting marking the day. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Professor Dr. Mohammad Alamgir addressed the meeting as chief guest which was presided over by Dr. Shibendra Shekhor Sikder, Dean Civil Engineering Faculty.
The meeting was addressed, among others by Professor Dr Sayed Ali Molla, Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty and Professor Dr. Nurunnabi, Dean of EEE Faculty.
A grand procession was brought out led by Vice-Chancellor of KUET Professor Dr. Mohammad Alamgir. Students and teachers of all departments took part in the rally and paraded from the Shaheed Minar to Phulbarigate area of Khulna city and campus with colourful banners, festoons and placards at around 10:30 am.
