Kurigram, Jessore road accidents kill two

KURIGRAM, Jan 30 (BSS): A youth was killed as a sand laden truck hit him in Ulipur Upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The youth was identified as Moshiur Rahman, 28, a resident at Hokdanga village of the upazila.

Local people said the accident took place morning in Narikelbari area on Ulipur-Narikelbari Road. Moshiur died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of SK Abdullah Al Syeed said they seized the truck.

Meanwhile, in Jessore, a construction worker was killed as a truck hit his bicycle at Bablatala crossing in the town on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Tuku Sultan, 40, son of Amir Hossain, a resident of the same area.

Police said the accident occurred in the area at about 8.30 am when a truck hit the bicycle from opposite direction, leaving the cycle rider Tuku dead on the spot.
