KURIGRAM, Jan 21 (UNB): A man and his son were killed in a collision between a motorbike and a three-wheeler, locally known as nasiman, on Sonahat land port road in Bhurungamari upazila of Kurigram district on Sunday morning.
The deceased were Shahidul Islam, 48, and his son Biplob Hasan, 25, hailing from Sarkartari village of the upazila.
Locals said that riding on the bike, the victims were going to their village home from Bhurungamari upazila sadar in the morning.
The accident occurred when the three-wheeler crashed into the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction in Patershawari area, leaving the two critically injured, they said.
They were rushed to Bhurungamari Upazila Health Complex where physicians declared them dead upon arrival.
Bhurungamari police station's Officer-in-Charge Ruhul Amin said poor visibility caused by dense fog might be the reason behind the accident.
