Latika Roy sets example of success in Khulna

KHULNA, Oct 13: Latika Roy of Aushkhali village under Batiaghata upazila of the district is a perfect example of the success for a hardworking person.

She is a budding farmer from whom anyone can learn. Latika became a full-fledged farmer by going to work in other's fields, wrote a new follow-up song of success through sweat and hard work.

Latika woke up at four in the morning. He first got up and took care of the calves at home. As soon as the light comes, she comes to his field, fence and begins vegetable and garden maintenance.

She either harvests the vegetable plants with her hands or prepares them for sale by cutting them. Then she is busy working one after another all day.

The hardworking woman takes breakfast and lunch in her field and return home in the evening. She eats dinner and fall asleep by 9 o'clock.

Her husband, Arun Roy, is busy with his work elsewhere. Sometimes helps her, most of the time he can't.

But, Latika has no headache about it. She only knows that she must do her work with utmost care. Vegetables should be cut every other day.

Latika has vegetable field and fish enclosure on one acre twenty-five decimal plot of land. She has leased the land. There, one after the other, they keep harvesting the whole year. She said she will get Tk 0.45 million profit from her land excluding expenses.

She said that even when she sleeps, she dreams of a vegetable garden. It's like a vegetable conversation with her. She would understand what a tree needs.

Latika thus developed a huge vegetable garden and fish enclosure with utmost love and tireless hard work. It is so beautiful that it cannot be believed without seeing. The success of Latika Roy inspires others.
