Lightning strike kills two in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ, Sept 22 (UNB): Two day labourers were killed by lightning strike at Nagarouha village in Sirajganj's Ullapara upazila on Saturday evening.

The victims were identified as Ruhul Islam, 28, son of Rafiqul Islam, and Ashraf Ali, 40, son of Belal Hossain of Nagarouha village of Ullapara upazila.

Rakibul Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ullapara Model Police Station, said they were returning home in the evening after working in the field on Saturday. On the way, the lightning struck them amid rainfall, leaving both of them injured.
