Mainstreaming deemed a must for welfare of ethnic people

RAJSHAHI, Aug 11 (BSS): Ensuring social justice and development of living and livelihood conditions of the ethnic communities in the country's northwest region including its vast Barind tract has become indispensable, speakers at post-rally discussion said here today. They viewed showing due respect to all agreements and commitments relating to ensuring rights of the ethnic communities is very vital. Jatiya Adibashi Parishad (JAP) organised the rally and discussion at General Public Library in Rajshahi city marking the International Adibashi Day-2013. Prof Hassan Azizul Haque and Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, attended and addressed the discussion as chief guest and speaker respectively with JAP President Rabindra Nath Saren in the chair. Among others, ethnic leaders Dr Modon Kumar Baroar, Ramanath Mahato, Bimol Chandra Rajoad, Christina Biswash, Shukhen Kumar Shyamduar, and Kastastina Hasda also spoke.
