Man crushed under train in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, June 18 (BSS): An unidentified man, aged around 40, was crushed under the wheels of a train at Joydebpur-Dhirashram section in Dhirasram Railway Station of the district today.

The accident occurred when the Mohanganj-bound Mahua Express train from Dhaka crushed him around 10.15am while he was crossing the Joydebpur-Dhirashram section 306km. He died on the spot, in-charge of Joydebpur Railway Junction police outpost sub-inspector (SI) Md Shahidullah told the news agency.

The body was recovered from the spot and sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital for autopsy, he added.
