Man fined Tk 50,000 for lifting sand

TANGAIL, Sept 10 (BSS): A mobile court, in a drive, fined a man Tk 50,000 for extracting sand illegally at Bhuapur Upazila of the district on Wednesday.
A mobile team led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Rajib Hossain conducted the drive in the Khanurbari area of the Jamuna River and fined Abdul Barek, 40, Tk 50,000 for illegal sand mining.
Members of the Bhuapur Naval Police Outpost were present at the time.
