Man gets life term for killing wife in N'ganj

NARAYANGANJ, Jan 27, 2025 (BSS): A court here on Monday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for killing his wife in Siddhirganj upazila of the district in 2021.

The court also fined convict Nurul Amin Sabuj, 54, Taka 50,000, in default, to suffer two months more in jail, said Advocate Abul Kalam Azad Zakir, public prosecutor of the court.

District and Sessions Judge Md. Abu Shamim Azad pronounced the verdict in presence of the convict.

According to prosecution, on May 14, 2021, Nurul Amin Sabuj killed his wife Fatima over a family feud in Nimaikashari area.
