Man killed by brother in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, Aug 10 (UNB): A man was beaten to death allegedly by his younger brother at Bagoan village in Mujibnagar Upazila of the district  Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Baki Miah, 26, son of Ali Sheikh of the village.

Local sources said Sadik Ali locked into an altercation with his elder brother on Friday evening over seeking money form their father.

At one stage, Sadik hit his brother with a stick, leaving him injured.

Baki was first taken to the Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Kushtia Medical College Hospital where succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
