Man killed, wife injured in Khulna burglary attack

KHULNA, May 18 (UNB): A man was killed and his wife injured in an attack by burglars who
broke into their house by cutting through the mud wall in Madhya Maheshwaripur area of Maheshwaripur
union in Koyra upazila of Khulna early Monday.
The deceased, Bhabatosh Mridha, was a local businessman. He ran a pharmacy in Gilabari Bazar of the same union.
According to local Union Parishad member Mizanur Rahman, a group of miscreants entered the couple's mud house around 1:30am.
When Mridha tried
to resist them they attacked him with sharp weapons , leaving him critically
injured. His wife was also injured while trying to intervene.
