Man run over by truck, killed in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Apr 21 (UNB): A man was killed as a truck ran over him at Mangalbaria on the Kushtia-Ishwardi Highway in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam,56, son of late Ansar Ali of Alfamore area of the upazila.

Witnesses said a speeding truck ran over Aminul in the area while he was crossing the highway at about 8:30 am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
