NARSINGDI, Sept 18 (UNB): A man was stabbed to death by his rivals over a land dispute in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Monday.
The deceased, Dwin Islam, 38, was son of Moselh Uddin of Patuarpar area under the upazila.
Police and locals said there was a longstanding dispute between Dwin and his neighbour Anwar Hossain over the ownership of a piece of land in the village. Their supporters locked in an altercation centring the matter in the morning when Dwin Islam and his brother Nazrul Islam allegedly first attacked Anwar.
