PABNA, Nov 3: A salesman was strangulated to death at Hemayetpur on the Pabna-Pakshey road of Pabna Sadar Upazila early Monday.
The deceased Md Alamin Hossain, 25, son of Atiar Rahman of village Bahadurpur in Pabna Sadar Upazila was a company salesman, sources said.
Police and locals said Alamin was returning home from Ishwardi market on Sunday night. He had Tk 60 thousand with him. Criminals strangled him when he reached Hemayetpur graveyard area early Monday.
The victim was tied with rope and was strangled on the spot and later his body was dumped in a field of the area, said Kazi Haniful Islam, officer-in-charge of Pabna sadar police station.
Police recovered the body from the spot on Monday morning and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
