Mayor hopes construction of proposed varsity be over by June

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Feb 12: Alhaj Mossadek Hossain Bulbul, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) expressed hope that the construction work of proposed Rajshahi City University be completed by June this year, said a press release.

The university will be conducted by efficient and competent faculty members.

RCC mayor expressed these in a views exchange meeting regarding progress review of the university yesterday at the City Bhaban while he presided it.

In the meeting, the mayor proposed the name of Prof. Dr. Muhammed Kayes Uddin as the founder Vice Chancellor for the university.

Mr. Bulbul urged the Rajshahi based industrialists to invest here specially in education, agriculture and manufacturing based industry sector.

ACI, a private manufacturing company has already invested to set up a manufacturing factory in Rajshahi region, the mayor also informed the meeting.
