Meet on child marriage prevention law held in Netrakona

NETRAKONA Sept 18 (BSS): Speakers on Tuesday at a round table conference on "Child Marriage Prevention Law, Current Situation and Necessary Measures" underlined the need for concerted efforts to prevent child marriage.

The speakers also urged the people of all walks of life for Building public opinion to remove all the barriers including superstitions, illiteracy, wrong explanations on marriage related to religious rituals by religious leaders and erosion of social values on the way to prevent child marriage.

They also laid emphasis on the role of media to create mass awareness about the bad effects of child marriage.
