Mentally sick people need proper treatment and medicare facilities and special care from surrounding human beings for sake of their early recovery, speakers have said at a seminar in Rajshahi city. They viewed optimum treatment and necessary healthcare facilities towards them is very vital to facilitate them to get back into their normal life and that is very important to make them worthy citizens. Collective effort is urgently needed as all the mental diseases excepting the schizophrenia are curable and so social awareness alongside positive attitude to the patients is very vital for their early recovery from mental sickness. Action on Disability and Development (ADD), a UK-based development agency, and Department of Health Services jointly organised the seminar at the Conference Hall of the Divisional Director of Health, Rajshahi, marking the World Mental Health Day-2014, according to BSS.
