FARIDPUR, Mar 26 (BSS): Local people became the part of the history by participating in the chorus of our national anthem programme that took place this morning at 11 am at the local Sheikh Jamal stadium to enlist the name of loving Bangladesh in the Guinness Book of World. The programme was organized by the district administration.
Imbued with the spirit of liberation war more than about five thousand people of all walks of life assembled here at the venue of 44th Independence Day all in unison sang the national anthem composed by great poet Rabindra Nath Tagore.
BSS reports from Rajshahi: With their chorus voice,tens of thousands of people in Rajshahi city joined "Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla" event in National Parade Ground in Dhaka yesterday.
At around 11.20 am, people from all walks of life gathered atfour separate places--- Shaheb Bazar Zero Point, Rajshahi University Shaheed Minar, Court Shaheed Minar and District Muktijodhha Smrity Stadium--- since morning to become united to the great venture of making history by setting a new Guinness World Record.
Besides, Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, took part in the National Anthem singing event at Bhuban Mohan Park while former Mayor of Rajshahi AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at Shaheb Bazar Zero point.
Another report from Rangpur says: Thousands of people of Rangpur division joined the national anthem singing programme of 'Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla' in chorus with the millions at the National Parade Ground in Dhaka around 11:20 Wednesday morning.
Celebrations of the Independence and National Day-2014 got a special dimension when thousands of people took part in the national anthem singing programme everywhere in all eight district and 58 upazila headquarters in the division.
The people of all ages and professions spontaneously gathered at the Shaheed Minar premises, stadiums, grounds of the educational intuitions and open places with huge enthusiasm and emotion to take part in the programme to make the new world record.
The cities, towns and educational institutions turned into festive places as thousands of common people, youngsters, students, youths, socio-cultural and political activists, GO-NGO officials, public representatives sang the national anthem along with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and millions of the prideful country people.
