Minor girl dies from snake bite in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, June 23 (BSS); A minor girl died after being bitten by a venomous snake at Ibrahimpur village under Damurhuda upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Masuma Khatun, daughter of Abdul Malek and a class two student of Ibrahimpur Government Primary School.

Local people said a poisonous snake bit Masuma when she was asleep at her house early this morning. She was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, where the on duty doctor declared her dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Damurhuda Model Thana Sukumar Biswas confirmed the incident.
