Minor girl dies from snakebite in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Sept 27 (UNB): A minor girl died after receiving a snakebite at Charkalidaspur village in Bagha upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rupali, 12, daughter of Chand Miah Sheikh, a resident of the village.
Locals said a venomous snake bit Rupali in leg as she treaded unknowingly on it while playing with her friends at a place near their house on Thursday evening.
Hearing her screams, neighbours rushed in and took her to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where she died on Friday morning.
