GAZIPUR, Nov 10 (UNB): Police recovered the body of a four -year-old boy, who went missing on Friday, from a waterbody in China Sukania of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Anas, son of Al Amin of the village.
Additional Superintendent of Gazipur Police (DB) Aminul Islam, Anas went to his neighbor Nazrul Islam's house on Friday as he used to play with Nazrul's son Abdullah. Since then he has remained missing.
Getting no whereabouts of Anas, his family lodged a complaint with Sreepur Police Station on that day.
During investigation, police arrested Nazrul Islam and his wife Shahinur and following interrogation, police recovered the body of Anas from a water body on Monday.
However, they have admitted their guilt but the exact cause behind the murder could not be known immediately, said SP Aminul.
The motive behind the killing could be known after interrogation, he said.
