Mother, daughter electrocuted in Tangail

A woman and her daughter were electrocuted at Charbashi village at Kalihati upazila in Tangail district on Saturday morning. The deceased were identified as Sumela Begum, 80, and her daughter Vasani Begum, 45, of the village. Officer-in-charge of Kalihati thana Monir Hossain said mother Sumela came in touch of a live electric cable near her house. Vasani came forward to help her mother but both of them were injured critically. Locals rescued them and rushed them to Tangail Medical College Hospital where they died, according to BSS.
