Mother, daughter killed in tragic road accident

RANGPUR, Jan 29: A mother and her minor daughter were killed in a road accident at Bakchi Bridge area on Rangpur-Pirgachha road on Tuesday evening.

The deceased were identified as Bulbuli Begum (30), wife of Anwar Hossain, and her three years old daughter Anamika under Pirgachha upazila in Rangpur district.

According to police and local sources, Bulbuli and her daughter were going to Rangpur by a battery-run autorichshaw in the evening at about 6 pm. Suddenly Anamika fell down from the easy-bike.

When Bulbuli tried to pick Anamika up from the road a speedy passenger bus ran over them, leaving the two dead on the spot. A case was filed in this regard.
