GAZIPUR, May 12 (UNB): A woman was killed in an attack allegedly by her son at Bhringaraj in Kaliakoir upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Bhagomati Pal in the area.
Police and locals said the incident occurred when Bhagomoti ordered her son, Uttam Paal, to go to work in the morning and threatened the son to stop his meal if he did not go to work. Being angered at the words of his mother, Uttam hit her head with stone (puta), leaving her dead on the spot.
Later, local people caught Uttam and informed police.
