M'singh, Gaibandha road accidents kill three

A total of three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Mymensingh and Gaibandha on Friday, reports UNB.

In Mymensingh, an army person and his wife, who went for a joy trip riding on a motorbike, died when the motorbike crashed into a truck on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Shikarikanda in Mymensingh city on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Nazmul Pervez, 32, a member of Momenshahi Cantonment and his wife Dilrube Jebin, 23.

Quoting witnesses, Anwar Hossain, inspector of Kotwali Model Police Station, said the accident occurred in the evening near Akua Sarkar Bari when the motorbike carrying the couple dashed the truck from behind, leaving them dead on the spot.

The couple went out for a joy trip on Friday and met the tragedy while returning to their residence from Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.

In Gaibandha, a man was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a human hauler in Palashbari Upazila of Gaibandha on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as human hauler driver Abu Hossain, a resident of Rai village in Palashbari Upazila.

According to OC Azmi-ruzzaman of Palashbari Police Station, the motorcycle was heading towards Palashbari town when it collided with an oncoming easy bike near Joondah Bazar, leaving Abu Hossain and two others injured.
