Narsingdi, Kurigram, Habiganj road accidents kill five


A total of five persons were killed in separate road accidents in Narsingdi, Kurigram and Habiganj districts on Saturday and Friday night, report agency.
In Narsingdi, two people were killed and eight were injured in a collision between a bus and a covered van on Narsingdi-Ghorashal-Tongi road in Palash upazila of Narsingdi district early Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Idris Ali, driver of the Ena Paribahan bus, and Shaheed Mia, driver of the covered van. Both of them hailed from Kishoreganj district.
In Kurigram, two school students were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a truck in Tanaripara near Dharla Bridge area of Kurigram district town on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as are Sadman Sadik, 16, son of Abdul Wadud of Palashbari Baniapara area, and Himu Sarkar, 16, son of Nurul Islam of Garialpara area of the town. They were tenth-grade students of Kurigram Government High School in the area.
Police seized the truck but the driver fled the scene, the OC added.
A case was filed in this connection.
In Habiganj, a woman was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Titarkona area under Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Baharful Nacha, 40, wife of Taiyab Ali, resident of West Rup Shankar village of the upazila.
