Narsingdi road accident kills auto-rickshaw driver

NARSINGDI, Dec 19 (BSS): A battery-run auto rickshaw driver was killed and three others were injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Mahmudabad area under Raipura upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sabuj Miah, 25, son of Masto Miah of Bir Shrestha Motiur Rahman village of Muchapur union of the upazila.

According to the police and eyewitness, the accident occurred when a covered van lost control and rammed the battery-run auto-rickshaw standing on the left side of the road around 6:45am, leaving Sabuj killed on the spot and three passengers seriously injured.
