National co-op day observed in dists

TANGAIL Nov 2: The 43rd National Co-operative Day 2014 was observed in Tangail Saturday and elsewhere in the country.

To mark the day, district co-operative office organised different programme such as rally, discussion meeting and prize distribution to the best co-operative society in the district.

Earlier a big colourful rally was brought out in the town which paraded through the main streets with banners, festoons and placards. The rally started from local Shaheed Smrity Pouro Uddyan and ended at local Bhashani hall premises.

Our Correspondent from Khulna reports: The 43rd National Co-operative Day-2014 was observed in Khulna as elsewhere in the country Saturday. The day also observed in Bagerhat and Satkhira by holding rally, fair, discussion meeting and procession.

In observance of the day a colourful procession was brought out in the city from Khulna Co-operative office led by Divisional Commissioner Abdus Samad that paraded through the main roads of the city. Officials from many government and non-government organisations and civil society members, different cooperatives members and local journalists of the city took part in the procession.
