National Sanitation Month observed in districts

KHULNA, Oct 22: National Sanitation Month and World Hand Washing Day was observed here in Khulna today through holding a rally and discussion meeting for creating awareness among the people.

In observance of the day a Divisional Workshop was held at Deputy Commissioners' conference room with Divisional Commissioner Abdus Samad as the chief guest.

Deputy Commissioner Anis Mahmud presided over the workshop with the help of Khulna Divisional and District Administration, Khulna City Corporation, Public Health Engineering Department and NGO Forum for Publicity Health.

Our Correspondent in Gopalganj reports: National Sanitation Month-2014 was observed in befitting manner in Gopalganj yesterday morning (Tuesday).

District Administration, Department and Public Health Engineering (DPHE), Gopalganj jointly organised the programme, collaborated by BRAC Wash, Gopalganj.

On the occasion, a colourful rally was brought out chanting slogans and discussion meeting was held here for creating awareness among the people. The rally paraded through main roads of the town. Teachers, students, NGO workers, government officials and local elite attended the rally.
