Nat'l Fisheries Week begins in Bandarban

BANDARBAN, July 30 (BSS): A week-long 'National Fisheries Week-2024' began on Tuesday in the district to promote sustainable development and expansion of fisheries resources.

This year, the theme of the week is "Nirapad Machee Varbo Desh, Garbo Smart Bangladesh".

On the occasion, Bandarban Hill District Council and Directorate of Fisheries organised a view exchange meeting in the conference room of the Bandarban District Fisheries Office on Tuesday morning.

The District Fisheries Office have taken various programs marking the event including colorful processions, exchange of views, discussions, release of fish fry and distribution of prizes among successful fish farmers.
