New GM of Rly West Zone

RAJSHAHI, May 2: Ferdous Alam has joined as the General Manager of West Zone of Bangladesh Railway (BR), Rajshahi on May-2.
Before joining this post, Ferdous Alam had been working as Additional General Manager of Railway at Rail Bhaban in Dhaka.
Born on March 17, 1955 in Thakurgaon, Ferdous Alam obtained his Master of Arts degree in Economics from Dhaka University in 1979 and joined as a BCS officer.
During his 32 years of service, he worked as Divisional Transport Officer, Senior Statistics officer, Chief Commercial Manager and Chief Operating Superintendent of Railway in Dhaka, Chittagong and other places of the country.
