New gym building of Quantum Cosmo School and College inaugurated

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russell inaugurated on Sunday the newly-constructed gymnasium building of Quantum Cosmo School and College in Lama of Bandarban district, reports BSS.

The 12,800-square-feet gymnasium has facilities to provide students international-standard training on six Olympics events, including pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel and horizontal bar, said a press release.

The students of Quantum Cosmo School and College staged a gymnastic show. They also participated in physical display on the occasion.

Gymnastic department of Quantum Cosmo School and College started its journey in 2012 with a dream - 'We will win gold in Olympics'. Students of the department have been taking parts in national age-groups gymnastics competitions since 2013.

They took part international-level competitions in 2018 in China, Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Korea, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Singapore and won 25 prizes including gold, silver and bronze.

Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation general secretary Ahmedur Rahman, Quantum Cosmo School and College governing body chairman Professor Amena Begum, Quantum Cosmo School and College principal Saleh Ahmed, among others, were present at the programme.
